From November 5 to 10, Audi appeared at the 2018 China International Import Expo with eight imported models. During this period, Audi e-tron, the first pure electric mass production model of Audi, met with the Chinese public for the first time and completed its first show in China. In addition, Audi flagship A8L, Audi R8 V10 performance, Audi TT RS and other high-performance models all appeared in the first China International Fair.

 

"We are very excited that Audi's first pure electric mass production model will debut in China during the Expo. Next year, Audi e-tron will be introduced into the Chinese market as an imported model," said ou Yangqian, President of Audi China. "We plan to join hands with our joint venture partner FAW Volkswagen to realize the localized production of Audi e-tron in 2020."

 

Audi e-tron was launched globally in San Francisco on September 17. As the flagship model of Audi brand pure electric, Audi e-tron perfectly meets the needs of off-road, home and leisure, and makes electrified mobile travel a high-end driving experience. Audi e-tron has excellent handling performance and power performance. At the same time, its ultra long range is also suitable for long-distance travel. Under the global light vehicle test procedure (wltp), the range of Audi e-tron is more than 400 kilometers, which perfectly meets the daily travel needs of consumers.

 

The new car adopts the active opening and closing silver gray octagonal single spoke air intake grille, is equipped with high-definition matrix laser headlights and e-tron exclusive multi spoke LED daytime running lights, and is equipped with a virtual rearview mirror with integrated steering light and camera for mass production application for the first time. Audi e-tron is available in 12 body colors, all with the exclusive orange logo of the whole car e-tron. The maximum power is 300kW and the maximum torque is 664n · M. it only takes 5.7s to accelerate 0-100km / h in boost mode. The new car is equipped with MEB new energy modular platform, standard progressive steering system and front and rear five link suspension controlled by electronic chassis platform. There are up to 7 driving mode options, including automatic, comfortable, dynamic, efficient, personalized, all road and off-road.

 

The 2018 China International Import Expo was grandly held in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center and will last until November 10. During the Expo, Audi fully demonstrated the latest innovative achievements of the brand. In addition to Audi e-tron, Audi Q7 e-tron, Audi A8L, Audi R8, Audi TT RS, Audi RS6, Audi RS3 and Audi S5 also appeared.

 

2018 is the 30th year for Audi to enter the Chinese market. As the first high-end automobile manufacturer to carry out localized production in China, Audi will continue to deepen its commitment to the Chinese market and work with its partner FAW Group to continuously promote localized production. By 2022, Audi will work with its partner FAW Group to double the lineup of localized products. As an important pillar of Audi's development strategy, Audi will comprehensively enhance its R & D strength in China. Audi China R & D center announced in September that it would add a new R & D and testing center in Wuxi in 2019.
